It is the morning of the Ham Theatre Company's much awaited premier of Romeo and Juliet when disaster strikes…
Ten of the twelve members of the company are stuck in Rome because of a train strike and can't make it to the theatre-but the show MUST go on! The company must perform otherwise they will not get paid and will be unable to return to England.
Will the remaining Two actors be able to perform the play?
Can the elderly light technician learn his lines?
Who will play Juliet?
To find out come along to the Play Group's new production. This company of British actors like to perform to all ages and levels of English students, and their new play "Romeo and Juliet and Johnny" is no exception. For very young audiences (scuole elementari) the language will be simple and accessible (obviously no original Shakespearean language) and the play will be an opportunity for the students to get to know the story of Romeo and Juliet. For and advanced audience (superiori) the company can include whole passages of the original work if requested.
In short this comic and fun inter-active show can be adapted to suite any level and any age group.
